The hotel is conveniently located in an area with easy access to a beautiful lookout and close to the beach. the spacious rooms have comfortable beds and good bathrooms. the helpful, friendly professional staff make guests feel at home. the delicious, abundant breakfast can be enjoyed in a lovely courtyard with a small pool and hammocks. Guests can relax and enjoy the atmosphere.
One minor issue guests may encounter is a slight musty smell due to humidity in certain rooms.

Great staff and location. The best shower (hot and good water pressure), very comfortable mattress. The wifi connection is very good. Great breakfast.
The room is a bit small and windows go out to a courtyard so if you open the window no privacy.

In central, convenient location with secure entry system. Very helpful and friendly staff. Generous and tasty breakfasts.
The shutters in the bedroom open onto a shared walkway and there is no glass in frame, so if you wish to have privacy you have to forfeit natural daylight.

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, hot water in the showers, enjoyed staying all day with hammocks, nice breakfast, relaxing atmosphere with pool and hammocks, close to historic part of the city.
Nothing that I didn't like.

Very good location, close to the historic centre, the beach and the nightlife. Safe and clean. The staff, however, was the main assets. Although speaking rather basic English, they would twist their tongues to be able to help you, particularly the two young Moreno gentlemen - very friendly, attentive and helpful. The reasonably priced mini bar in the room was a nice touch.
I found the beds a little too high and too narrow for my comfort.

This hotel is a hidden gem in a great location. It offers excellent value for money, with comfortable rooms and basic amenities. The staff is friendly and helpful, going above and beyond to assist guests. The breakfast buffet, although not the best, is still decent and served in a lovely courtyard.
No improvements needed, everything was satisfactory.

Pousada Baoba is very well kept and looked after. It is save. There is a nice little garden with a small pool. The breakfast is good. Be sure to book Deluxe room. They are in the new building and are quieter and more private than the standards! The room is clean but relatively small, as is the bathroom. The window is made from wood, so you open it and be visible in your room from the walkway to the other rooms or you have it shut and it is dark...Delux is a big word for a room like that. It is not Bad! But Deluxe...? The location is a plus and a Minus: it is close to the Bus Stop for Recife and the Ocean but the Pousada is on a very frequented and noisy road! Mind you: in the new building the noisy is not so bad, as it is a little to the back.
As it is very often in Brazil the Hotel personnel is not capable of speaking or understanding a word of English or any other language other than Portuguese. This is for the exception of friendly manager Luzia who could speak a little English.

We enjoyed our Easter stay at this hotel. the breakfast offered a nice variety, including some delicious regional dishes. the communal areas were well maintained and offered comfortable hammocks and sun loungers to relax in. the location was close enough to the historic center to be convenient, but not so close as to be noisy. the staff was friendly and helpful, even though they did not speak much English.
There were a few things that we did not enjoy about this hotel. the swimming pool was quite small and not suitable for swimming laps.

The pousada isn't located right in the old town centre but only a few minutes' walking distance away. It's on a relatively busy road which you don't really notice since all rooms are at the back of the property. The room was clean, although a little musty. Breakfast was excellent, a huge buffet with fresh rolls, ham, cheese, lots of fresh fruit and fresh juice. Several savoury Brazilian dishes as well. Staff were helpful, and with a mix of Portuguese, Spanish and English we managed to organise everything we needed with their help. All in all, while nothing to write home about, fair value for money if you don't want to splash out on one of the pricier and prettier options in the historic centre of Olinda.
Our room was smelled musty which is probably difficult to avoid in this climate. The window only had shutters, no glass, so you sacrifice privacy for daylight.

the location was perfect - right on the edge of the historical center. It was so easy to explore the charming streets and experience the local culture. The hotel itself was cozy and had a lovely pool surrounded by flowers and plants. It felt like a little slice of nature in the heart of the city. The attention to detail was evident, from the comfortable beds in the clean rooms to the garden seating and hammocks that added an extra touch of coziness. And let's not forget about the breakfast - varied, delicious, and truly Brazilian. It was the perfect way to start each day of exploring.
Everything was just fine, no complaints at all.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff were friendly, professional and attentive, and the hotel facilities were fantastic. The location was convenient and easy to get to the main attractions of this city. The breakfast was varied, delicious and Brazilian. The cleanliness of the hotel was outstanding, from the bedrooms to the pool and garden areas.
Could not be improved in any way.

The breakfast was delicious and filling, and they had a good variety of foods to choose from. Plus, they served coffee and juice, which was included in the price. The location of the hotel was great too, as it was close to the beach and local shops. Another advantage was that the staff spoke English, which made it easier to communicate with them.
The noise level was very high at night due to the busy street outside. This made it difficult to sleep, especially during Christmas when there was a lot of excitement and fireworks.
